Day 1 Arrival in Salzburg
Located between the two mountains Kapuzinerberg and Mönchsberg and the River Salzach Salzburg is a picturesque city with small alleys, quaint colourful town homes, rich castles and palaces, neat gardens and a high density of churches and monasteries. Salzburg is a city whose hidden corners and romantic streets unveil new impressions time and time again.
Day 2 Salzburg – Oberndorf – Laufen – Waging am See 28 miles
On your way to Laufen you will cycle through a small village called Oberndorf, where the famous Christmas song silent night - holy night was composed. In the city of Laufen the bavarian part of the Cycle Path starts. Your destination today is situated on the lakefront of the Waginger See the “hottest” lake in Oberbayern.
Day 3 Waging a. See/Umgebung – Chieming – Chiemsee/Chiemgau 23 miles
Today you will cycle through the heart of the Chiemgau till you reach Chieming. Afterwards you cross the Chiiemsee by boat. You have the possibility to visit the Herren- and Fraueninsel (without bike). Your hotel will be situated either next to the Chiemsee or nearby.
Day 4 Chiemsee/Chiemgau – Aschau – Sachrang - Niederndorf –Kaiserwinkel 33 miles
You are leaving the Chiemsee and cycle, passing Aschau, to the lovely countryside of the Priental Valley. This valley is situated between the Lake Chiemsee and the City of Kufstein. At the pass you have a breathtaking view on the impressive mountains of the Kaisergebirge. Afterwards a rapid downhill stretch waits for you to take you to your hotel in the village of Kaiserwinkel.
Day 5 Kaiserwinkel – Kirchdorf in Tirol – Waidring – Lofer 28 miles
This day you are spending in a region where Mozart used to take a rest on his trips to Italy. The route today will lead you through the nice villages of Kaiserwinkel – Kirchdorf in Tirol – Waidring and finally Lofer, where you will spend the night.
Day 6 Lofer – Berchtesgaden/Königssee 28 miles
On ancient salt trading paths you will reach the historic city of Bad Reichenhall a famous Salt and recreation city. The rest of the route will lead you on to the wonderful city of Berchtesgaden.
Day 7 Berchtesgaden/Königssee – Salzburg 18miles
A highlight of the tour is your trip to the Königsee. Locked in by impressive mountains this lake is one of the main attractions in the Alpine and National Park of Berchtesgarden. The last miles of the trip lead you back on the Tauern Bike Path through the Saalachtal to Salzburg.

Day 8 Depart Salzburg.
It is the end of the holiday so time to make your way home
