The scenery is breathtaking: The descent to the beach in Bol with impressive panoramic views of the neighbouring island of Hvar makes the ascent worthwhile. Every island has its own specific character: Šolta the island of spices, Mjet the island of honey, Pelješac offers excellent wine and oysters to its visitors, Brac harbours marble and the Golden Horn, Hvar the fields of lavender and on Korcula one can still stroll in the areas where Marco Polo dreamt of far off places. Captain Anton and his crew form an experienced team, which offers delicious specialties to their guests. Cycling in CroatiaDay 1 (Sat) Split, 12 miles

Individual arrival to the picturesque port of Trogir. After check in on the motor yacht the first small cruise begins at 2.00pm from Trogir to Split . Here you will undertake your first cycle tour to the Marjan mountain, a popular relaxation destination for the inhabitants of Split. After dinner your guide will accompany you on a walk through the old town of Split, which is built into the famous palace of the Roman Caesar Diokletian and is a world heritage site. Overnight stay in Split .

Day 2 (Sun) Cetina Canyon 25 miles

After a short crossing to Omis you will cycle into the valley of the Cetina River , which has buried itself deep into the cliff faces. You will return to Omis with its pirate castles by way of small side roads through varied landscape. You also have the option of taking part in a 2 hour rafting tour on the Cetina River. In the afternoon you will cross over to Brac Island with a swimming break and a cycle tour to Pucisca. The famous white marble of Brac which can be seen here has been used in the White House in Washington.

Day 3 (Mon) Brac Island 19 miles

Today‘s tour will start with a long but gentle climb up to the top of the island‘s mountain, which will take you past mulberry, kiwi and fig trees as well as olive groves and vineyards. On the next part of the tour to Bol, you will be rewarded with legendary panoramic views across to the neighbouring island of Hvar in return for completing the ascent. After lunch you will enjoy a long cruise to the island of Korcula, where you will stay the night in the island‘s capital, which has competed with Venice in its claim to being Marco Polo‘s place of birth.

Day 4 (Tue), Peljesac Peninsula and Mljet 16 and 7 miles

In the morning, after a short crossing, the next cycle tour will take you to the back-country and to the famous wineries of Dalmatia (the outstanding Plavac and Dingač wines originate from here) to Trstenik. During lunch you will cross over to the green, wooded island of Mljet, which is also known as the honey island. In the 12th Century the Order of St. Benedict founded a monastery in this isolated fairytale region, a region that is surrounded by pine and oak forests. Today this region is a national park and the highlight of every Dalmatian tour. The pine forest here is the most beautiful of its kind in the Mediterranean. Odysseus is said to have spent seven years here.

Day 5 (Wed), Korcula Island 42 miles.

The tranquillity and isolated nature of the lush gardens, with their large cyprus trees, dominate what is perhaps Dalmatia‘s most beautiful island. First you will cycle along the 12km long coastal road to Racisce for lunch. After a short uphill, and possibly pushing stint, to Pupnat and a trip along the old 200m high mountain road to the Bay of Pupnat you will arrive in Blate, a town, which just like Rome was built on seven hills. You will stay the night in the port of Vela Luka.

Day 6 (Thu) Hvar Island 28 miles.

After arriving at the port of Hvar you will enjoy a tour of the large Renaissance square, which is surrounded by the cathedral and many late-gothic palaces, from where you will climb up to the Spanish fort with its legendary panoramic views across the sea to the Paklenica Islands. The cycle route will take you past row upon row of small island villages whose picturesque stone houses are stacked up next to each other just like the pearls on a necklace. Today you will finish in the historical town of Stari Grad, which has become a magnet for artists and art lovers in the last few years.

Day 7 (Fri) Šolta Island 12 miles

After crossing over to Stomorska on the island of Solta you will commence your last cycle tour. Walled fields, numerous olive groves, locust bean and fig trees line the roads. The herby smells of lavender and rosemary will accompany you along your tour of this island. In Maslinica you can load the bikes onto the ship and enjoy your last crossing back to Trogir, where if time permits, you can take a tour of the old town which is a world heritage site.

Day 8 (Sat) Depart from Trogir

The guests are asked to check out after breakfast, i.e. by 9 am.
