Day 1 Mon Arrival in Prague - transfer to Český Krumlov.
Pick up at 9am either from Prague airport or hotel and transferred to Český Krumlov. Then either free time for a stroll around this quaint town with it’s warren of narrow, crooked streets or you can enjoy a visit to the castle.
Day 2 Tue Český Krumlov to
Třebon 38 miles.
Leaving Český Krumlov you ride through a very picturesque landscape, called "Czech Canada" to the town of Třebon where you see the Schwarzenberg Tomb. Dinner and a night walk through the Renaissance town.
Day 3 Wed Třebon to Telc 47 miles.
Today the route leads you to Telc a medieval town on the border of Moravia and Bohemia famous for its unique preserved square and the magnificent renaissance chateau. Arriving late afternoon there should be time for a short walk around the town. 47 miles
Day 4 Thu Telc to Znojmo 47 miles.
Today, after a morning excursion to the castle, you ride partly along the Greenways trail to Znojmo, a strong wine producing area with lots of opportunities to sample the local produce and other sightseeing opportunities.
Day 5 Fri Znojmo to Mikulov 43 miles.
You continue cycling along the Greenways trail, along the border with Austria, following the river Dyje to the charming historic town of Mikulov. This flatland region is a traditional wine-growing area. Time for a walk around the town followed by dinner.
Day 6 Sat Rest day or circular ride 26 miles.
Today you can either enjoy a rest day or a circular route from Mikulov to the UNESCO listed Lednice-Valtice area, rich in history. With time for most points of interest before returning to Mikulov for dinner.
Day 7 Sun Mikulov to Vienna 16 or 22 miles.
Leaving Mikulov and cycling either to Poysdorf (16 miles) or to Misttelbach (22 miles), the rest by the support vehicle to Vienna. Last night in Vienna or you can be transferred back to Prague
Day 8 Mon Depart.
The tour ends with a breakfast in Vienna or Prague. |
