The Greek Islands! Come and experience the natural beauties of the Greek landscape and explore a few of the 3,000 Greek Islands. There's ample sun, endless stretches of sandy beaches, azure seas and great cycling. Explore the archaeological sights, the monasteries, and the picturesque villages of the Greek coastline.

The Dodecanese – twelve islands bathed by the sun and sea. Homer sung their praises and both gods and men loved them. They rose out of the sea in some long ago age and dominated the Aegean with their fast ships and their excellent sailors. Rhodes is the largest of these islands. Admirers of the history will come for the ancient temples and statues, little Byzantine churches, medieval palaces and castles, turkish baths. The Old Town will enchant the romantic ones.

Neighbouring Kos is rich in archaeology including Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Venetian sites. The interior of the island is still undeveloped, fertile and agricultural and best of all, largely flat so that cycling is a fun way to get around.

Some thirty-five centuries ago, the city of Kos was founded next to the sacred spring of Vourina, and its sacred plane tree, the oldest tree in Europe, is still standing today on the square, reminding us of the days when Hippocrates sat in its shade and wrote the first books on medicine. So much history, so much life on twelve small islands.
